Eat That Frog

This book was fortunate to be the last book I read in this year While this year (2020) is marking its culmination and I appreciate to share with you some of the lustrous practical ideas, techniques and strategies I found in this Book and I hope if you take these fabulous principles with their action and determination they will unleash your potential and change your way of life.
The Canadian-American motivational public speaker "BRAIN TRACY" is the author of this book Brain is the chairman and CEO of Brain Tracy international company which serves the motivational speaks and personal developmental studies , he is the author of more than seventy books that are translated into dozens of languages.
Eat that frog one of the international best seller books combines more powerful strategies and methods to stop procrastinating for those who always postpone and overwhelmed by their jobs and activities, the book also sheds the light for planning and prioritizing of one's duties and responsibilities because no-one will never be able to do everything he/she wants to do.  Although the book consists of 21 chapters which the author stressed the ways to stop procrastination I shall sum up some key ideas .

The Truth about the Frog

Mark Taiwan says that if the first thing you do every morning is eating a frog you can go through your day knowing that this is probably the worst thing that is going to happen to you all day, just meaning if you have a lot of work to do in your day start with the greatest and most difficult one because the magic performance of your activities is led by the most significant task which pays the biggest reward.
Mark also showcases that if you have two frogs to eat in your day start with the ugliest one first this is another way of saying if you have two important tasks start with the hardest and most important task because at the beginning you have an energy and willpower that you won't get your culmination therefore keep doing that task until its completion point, once you accomplish one important task you feel like winner, great, and more confident to yourself because important task completion triggers the release of Endorphins( chemicals produced naturally by the nervous system) in your brain which gives you back power and restores your willpower.

1:Set the table:

The author clarifies his first chapter that before you do anything firstly recognize your wants definitely, he concises his ideas toward this point as Napoleon Hill says "there is one quality that one must possess to win, and that is definiteness of purpose, the knowledge of one wants and burning desire to achieve it " The seven powerful formula for setting and achieving goals mentioned the author include
Step1: Decide exactly what you want, clarity of purpose is the most important concept of personal productivity
Step2: write it down, minds are intended to think not to keep as a store whenever you put your goals down it appears something that is magnified and become more tangible which is easy to see as a picture therefore goals which are not written are only hope and fantasy in order to enhance your desire and have write your goals clearly.
Step3: set  deadlines on your goal, your goal must have a starting point and ending point if there is not destination there will not be performance only you waste your time.
Step4: make a list of goal categories and things that you need to do in order to achieve your goal
Step5: organize the list in to plan, Brain shows that goals have no similar values they must be distinctive so that categorize your goals into sequences and sub sequences in order to determine their priorities and posteriorties
Step6: take action on your plan when  things are pre-organized and planned execution is must because thoughts divorced from actions are worthless
Step7: resolve to do something every single day that moves you toward your goal.

2: Plan every day in advance:

Planning is bringing the future into present The author beleieves that the only way you can eat an elephant is to bite once at time which means break down your tasks into small affordable segments that you can accomplish each one once a time considering their priorities One of the most important rules of personal effectiveness is the 10/90 rule .which says that if you spend 10% of your time for planning and organizing your daily task in advance will save 90% of your time in that particular day.

3: The 80/20 rule (Pareto principle)

This is also called the pareto principle ,pareto was an Italian economist developed this idea which says 20% of your activities determine 80% of your result all activities ,events, successes and failures are determines by few of related activities 80% of accidents are responsible by 20% of motorists ,20% of clients account for 80% of company profits and more over.

4: USE ABCDE method continually

Each of your tasks are an appropriate in one of these alphabetical orders A is defined as something that is absolutely important and takes the degree of "must" this is the task which can last a series consequence if it is not performed, if you have more A'S you can prioritize these tasks into sub sequences like A1, A2, A3 and so on  "B" tasks are those you should do and  they are important but not equal as A task they are also less consequence if they are not accomplished and the next letters are the same meaning in their sequence values Regarding how they are respective .

5: Upgrade your key skills

Continually upgrade your career and knowledge specially in your field and task related skills never stop learning because each time life develops and the former techniques become old fashion
Three steps you can master in your field
First, read in your field for at least one hour every day. Get up a little earlier in the morning and read for 30-60 minutes in a book or magazine that contains information that can help you to be more effective and productive at what you do.
Second, take every course and seminar available on key skills that can help you. Attend the conventions and business meetings of your profession or occupation. Go to the sessions and workshops. Sit up front and take notes
Third, listen to audio programs in your car. The average car owner sits behind the wheel 500-1000 hours each year while driving from place to place. Turn driving time into learning time. You can become one of the smartest, most capable and highest paid people in your field simply by listening to educational audio programs as you drive around.

In conclusion, the author commonly overgeneralizes the importance of defining purpose what one really wants and the goals  wants to achieve by using the methods  mentioned, including prioritizing tasks and sticking to those things in order to avoid procrastination and waste of time.

Read and practice.
