My Trip to Afgoe

As the day was long awaited, the time has set on it and people had taken one month of good worship, getting ready for festival days of Eid al fitri, each one preparing to have a time with his/her families, friends, planning for special moment with a specific arena which is intended for relax and joyful days to make themselves forget out of congestion. Likewise, I had scheduled to follow with an active youth team addressing a trip to Afgoe,Lower Shebelle ,despite that, for the recent days of Ramadan I have been overwhelmed with some issues and my night owls was enough till the brilliant night reached while I had not hit the suck all night.

Right after I got my shift of and prayed the Salah, I was about to attend near Tara bun-well known intersection point where we all about to ride and I got it in the nick of time 9:00 Am ,after moments of pending our missing friends due to traffic congestion, the buss occupied and we kicked off our festival trip to Afgoe, the lovely faces which most of them were seemed to be familiar with each other come to gather, jokes and heart laughs was an introductory message of the amazing trip, moreover, we were travelling on the newly completed Qatar funded Construction Road which links Mogadishu to Afgoe which made our trip too smooth.

OUR ARRIVAL
After two hours on the high way with some security check points caused to delay we set foot in Afgoe while their celebrations could appear at the outskirts, children were nicely dressed up and highly equipped with ammunitions; some toy guns for shooting each other ,then we have passed to where our trip destination was culminating ,immediately A good famer friend who had invited us with spacious and fully planted garden appeared ,for the first few minutes right after prayer salad –Duhur-we started walking inside the farm exploring the lustrous attractive areas with a mix of fruits ,The first fruit lucked to have tested was fresh Mango which were plentiful in the garden, despite that, some people were taken pictures front the beautiful greenly planted areas.
After we had taken few moments of photos and sightseeing we came back to special arena to have fun with some of national anthems and enjoyed two of the most listened to voices of artists; lafoole & shay mire Da’ar.

After few moments of fun and relaxation we had a little bite as most of us had not had breakfast that morning. as time running out and friends are still had to stay to walk around the farm and see new sites, so our team leader Mr. Bashir Bal’ad had given few minutes to finalize each one’s capturing and sightseeing observations ;utilizing the overtime offered, some of my friends were so excited to see the river that they had never seen it including my buddy Jim ‘ale ;a good friend, and some who had not seen a river for a while, as the time flies, we started to embark on our trip again and approached to Mogadishu in the late afternoon and we arrived at when the sunset while we took our day with pleasure and enjoyment accompanied with introduction of unfamiliar faces among the team.
